Organizing Your Remodeling Ideas

So, you’ve decided to go ahead and embark on a remodeling project: great! Now you get to do the fun part of looking at magazines and searching the internet for design ideas – but this process can soon become overwhelming when you start to find out the volume of information that’s out there. It’s also tough to organize ideas when you’ve got inspiration coming from many different sources – not to mention those annoying times when inspiration strikes and you’re out on the move! But RemodelOrMove.com has a great way to search, save and share your ideas with the IdeaFile.

Instead of scouring hundreds of design magazines, tearing out pages or ripping out individual pictures and trying to get them into some sort of order, the easiest – and most environmentally friendly – way to search is by going online.

You can search over 50 million images in our Design Gallery, which is powered by Bing – meaning the whole internet is scoured for the best home design images so you don’t have to. There are plenty of categories to choose from to make searching easier. As well as searching simply by room, you can also search by range of colors, styles such as rustic and modern, or even by furnishings such as tables and bathtubs!

One of the problems when you search online is that you forget where you saw that perfect couch or beautiful kitchen countertop, and the best you could do was save a bunch of pages to your bookmarks page. But now you can save any images you find to your own personal IdeaFile, where you can then add notes to record your thoughts, add tags so you can easily categorize images, and even give them a rating so you and others can more easily identify what you want. As well as saving images from all over the internet, you can also upload your own images from your computer.

Not only does this make your images easier to collect and search through, but the IdeaFile can be shared with your contractor, designer and family members via email or Facebook.

And for remodeling on the move, you can search, save and share images from your SmartPhone or Android with our home design apps. These work in the same way as accessing from your home computer but with the added convenience of being able to work on your remodel wherever you are!
So make planning your remodel a little easier and a lot more fun with the free and simple to use IdeaFile.
